Letter to a host family

I would like to thank you so much for having me at your home. I have my mother, my father, two brothers, and a dog. I'm shy, but I'll try to talk to you. My old brother plays soccer, so he is slim, but another my brother is fat even is he had played soccer. I am little fat. I don't have energies to do some sports for a long time. I want to show you a picture of my family. I live in near mountain, so the air is clean. When I am in a city, I cough. I don't have strong throat. I'm nineteen years old, so I can't drink alcohol. I was born on October. I'm a college student in the first grade, and I'm majoring in English. I'm not good at speaking English. I want to improve my English skills, so I decided to join this home stay program. When I finish this home stay program, I want to be able to speak English well than before. I am looking forward to learning English and seeing a different culture. I want to see many places in your country.

I like onions, pork, and chicken. On the other hand, I don't like salad, tomatoes, and raw fish. I don't have any allergies, but I often sneeze, when I am in a dusty place.

By the way, I have weak eyes. Therefore, I have headaches sometimes. Recently, I don't have a cold. I like animals. Do　you have some pets? I have a dog. She is very pretty! I want to show you pictures of my pet.

 This is my first time going abroad, so I am really excited, but also a little nervous. Probably, I will feel sick in vehicles, so I will bring medicines.

I like watching movies. When I am in your country, could you take me to a movie theater with you? I want to watch some movies I can't watch in Japan. My favorite kinds of movie are action, horror, and mystery movies.

Also, I like cooking. I hope I could cook Japanese food in your house. Can I bring Japanese foods? If your family has rules in your house, could you tell me about them? I am looking forward to seeing you, and I am looking forward to having a good time with you and your family. Thank you.

Journal L

I enjoyed this writing class. First, I will write about “Paragraph”. Paragraph was difficult for me to limit number of words. I always had many things I wanted to write in the paragraphs. I think most difficult theme of paragraph was “Cloning”. Especially, I had more ideas than other paragraphs. However, I have to limit the number of words. It was difficult to get my ideas in shape. I think writing paragraphs made my writing skill in English strong. Also, it was difficult to submit to “gakunaishisyobako”. When I submit my paragraph, many students sit down in front of computer. Therefore, I couldn’t submit paragraphs when I wanted to submit them. Second, I will write about “Journal”. When I was given first journal, I thought that was troublesome. However, when I started to write, I felt it interesting. Paragraphs are limited number of words, but journals are not limited it, so I enjoyed writing journal. Sometimes, themes of journals were difficult. For example, themes which are “negative people” and “something I know how to do that not everyone else knows how to do” were difficult. When I wrote about negative people, I thought I wrote bad things about the negative people. Especially, “something I know how to do” was most difficult theme in journals, so I couldn’t wrote the journal. I didn’t know the way only I know. The themes which were easy to write were “Internet” and “memorable things”. I enjoyed writing journals about them. I thought whether we need the writing textbook or not. We didn’t use the textbook many times in this writing class. I think you should write important things to the white board, and we should write them to our notebook. Although many homework were given in this class, I enjoyed this class, and I could learn many things about rules of grammar I didn’t know.

Once upon a time, there was a giant. He had lived alone in a cave. However, the cave was very hot in summer, very cold in winter. It was the coldest winter since records began. The giant preserved a lot of foods, but he didn't have many clothes because there were not clothes which suit to him. In a village which is near the cave, there were not a lot of food, but there were many clothes. A lot of cotton were produced in the village, so villagers concentrated at producing cotton. The villagers had bought foods from other villages every winter by now. However, they couldn't import foods because of the heavy snow. Therefore, they were suffered from hunger. They didn't ask the giant for help because they were afraid of the giant with his looks. On the other hand, the giant thought that he was hated by them who were afraid him. He had lived alone, so he was sad. One day, a mother and a child came to the giant to ask for help. They said to him, "Could you give us some foods? We can't endure hunger!!" He was surprised and happy because villagers asked him for help. He smiled, and he gave a lot of foods to not only a mother and a child, but also other villagers. Because of his help, many villagers could overcome the hunger. After few weeks, all the villagers started to make very big clothes by cooperating. Finally, they made very big clothes which were suit to the giant. Villagers brought the big clothes to the giant. He was very happy to get his clothes. He wore the clothes. The clothes were very suit to him. After that, villagers and the giant have helped each other when they were in trouble.

I think the Internet is useful and danger. When we want to research something, we can research things we want to know easily. Also, we can connect to many people on the Internet because many people use computer and Internet. However, there are many danger things on the Internet. Many viruses are in the Internet, so we shouldn't enter strange websites easily. I want you to know that spelling miss will be fatal. For example, when you research "goggle" or "gooogle", data in your computer will disappear and your computer will broke because of viruses in goggle or gooogle. Also, even if you search usual word, danger websites or images appear. Please set a safe search in on. Then, you can't watch the danger images. Moreover, there are many words which we shouldn't search. When you search "the words that you must never search", many danger words will appear. If you searched the words, you would be depressed. When you search the words, pictures or dynamic images which are horror, grotesque, psychic, and viruses will appear. People who don't have tolerance for them shouldn't watch them. If you want to know what the websites or moving images are, you can watch moving images which someone search the words. However, some of them are important words we should know. That word is "POSO". If you search the word, you can watch a moving image of war of POSO. A child was killed by guns, and the child's parents held the dead body in the moving image. The moving image may make you feel emotional shock. However, we should know such a things happens in the world. I recommend you not to search ominous words for fun!!

I want to sell wind hood for ninja. Please use it to fly. When you want to fly, put on it. Please put power to your foot. Then you can fly like wind! That is very easy to use it. Moreover, when you fly, your body become transparent. Then, you can't be found. The speed you fly is very fast, so be careful not to bump a wall. If you want to make the speed slow, spread your leg a little. You can stop when you straighten your body. When you invade a castle, I think it is hard for you to climb a stone wall. However, this wind hood improve your trouble. When you use it, you don't have to climb the stone wall and you don't have to be tired. When you want to turn right, you have to incline your body to right. Also, when you want to turn left, you have to incline your body to left. When you want to fly high, you have to run in the air. The first time you fly, it takes few days to be used to fly. I recommend you to practice. If you can't fly well, please call the number, 0120-584-9320. We will dispatch a trainer to you. When the wind hood tear, don't use it. You may fall. There are three colors, black, purple, deep green. The colors are difficult to be found. I know you have to work anytime, but you can't wear many clothes to move quickly in winter. The wind hood can be large to cover your body. When you are cold, try to use the function. However, when you use the function, flying is difficult for you a little. I recommend you to fly using the function when you are used to use wind hood. If you like it, please buy it! The wind hood make your work more easily!!

I have many memorable things. I'll tell you two memories. When I was second years in junior high school, I had two best friend. I asked them, "Why don't you climb Mt. Tawara with me?" Then, they said they want to climb with me, so we planned to climb the mountain. In a weekend, we started to climb the mountain in autumn. Before we climb the mountain, it was warm. We climbed it with one piece of T-shirt of long sleeves. However, when we arrived at the top of the mountain, it was very cold!! We ate each other's lunch without talking because we wanted to climb down the mountain. We arrived at a forked road on our way to climb down. There was no signpost. We were in trouble. Suddenly, one of my friend said that she had a tool of the fortune-telling. Then, she pointed left road. We kept walking, but we arrived at a cliff! We returned the way, and we walked another road. Also, we arrived at a forked road again! One of my best friends pointed right road. We kept walking. and we arrived at a ruined factory! We returned the way, and we walked another road. We were little scared because the sky became dark slowly. Eventually, the moon appeared! One hour later, we could arrived at the foot of the mountain. I thought I might meet with a disaster. Recently, I hear strange sounds in my house. When I'm in the first floor, I hear a sound that somebody walks. I go to my bed, and 2~3 hours later, I hear strange sound. I think that the sounds were made by my dog which died in February. Also, only I and my mother heard the sounds in my family! I hope that my dead dog make the sounds. When I go to bed, I'm little scared.

I know some negative famous people. I think Kurosawa kazuko of morisantyu is a negative person because she is introduced on TV program as a negative person. For example, when she makes thousands of breads to make a picture with her partners, she makes breads silently. Usually, comedian do somethings talking, but she doesn't talk many. She said that she wants to concentrate making breads. In other TV program, she consulted with professers about her negative points. She consulted that she thinks all things nagatively. When she sleeps, she wears a mask because she thinks there are many dusts and ticks in her house. She is also cleanly. When she appears on TV, she express herself actively, but she is negative in her house. Many people are worried about her. I don't know other negative person especially. I'm negative person. I don't want to treat people. I'm shy, so I can't talk with people well when I see a person for the first time. I want to be more active person!!
